    We are sisters, born and raised in Patagonia, Argentina, and now based in Barcelona. Growing up, we saw how everything—from food, stoneware, and textiles to furniture and home decor—was handcrafted and cherished. Every corner of our home had a story to tell. Charco is the bridge that brings you the essence of our craft universe, filled with meaning and joy.

 The word “charco” comes from the Spanish phrase “cruzar el charco”, which literally means "crossing the puddle"—a reference to traveling across the ocean. For us, crossing the “charco” from Patagonia to Barcelona symbolized a journey filled with courage, resilience, growth, and joy. This, together with our passion for design, sustainability, and our personal story, inspired us to embark on this exciting and challenging project.

We hail from the most southern land, Patagonia, Argentina, where rivers of stones, boundless lakes, and the dark sea beat. From the land of barbecue and wine, of Sunday gatherings, fervent emotions, and loud voices full of passion and meaning.
